RECENT RESEARCH NEWS

Nice dispatch by Nature Communications, highlighting our recent eLife paper! We identify HCRT signaling underlies sleep loss in cavefish.

We developed a novel system to simultaneously measure sleep and metabolic rate in single fruit flies! Importantly, this system, combined with the genetic tools in Drosophila, now enables us to manipulate single genes and determine their impacts on sleep state!
